Jesse Thompson began his violin studies at the age of nine in the public school system in Williamsport, PA. Throughout his career, Jesse has been involved in numerous festivals and music camps including New England Music Camp, Chamber Music institute of Virginia, Philadelphia International Music Festival, the Sunflower Music Festival, and the Buzzards Bay Music Festival. Thompson studied privately with Kenneth Sarch, concertmaster of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra up until his acceptance to Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa in 2014. During his studies at Duquesne, Jesse has been involved with the Duquesne Symphony Orchestra, Duquesne Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Butler County Symphony Orchestra, Wheeling Symphony, Pittsburgh Ballet, Pittsburgh Opera and Chamber Orchestra Pittsburgh. In 2019 Jesse was a finalist for the section violin position for the Pittsburgh Opera and Ballet orchestras. He received his Bacherlors and Artist Diploma in Violin Performance and is continuing his studies at Duquesne University currently pursuing a Masters in Violin performance.
