Meet the musicians

Jesse Thompson

Jesse Thompson, a native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania began his violin studies at the
age of nine in the public school system. Throughout his career, Jesse has been involved in
numerous festivals and music camps including New England Music Camp (Sidney, Maine),
Chamber Music institute of Virginia, Philadelphia International Music Festival, the Sunflower
Music Festival in Topeka, Kansas and the Buzzards Bay Music Festival in Massachusetts.
Thompson studied privately with Kenneth Sarch, the concertmaster of the Williamsport
Symphony Orchestra up until his acceptance to Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa in 2014.
During his studies at Duquesne, Jesse has been involved with the Duquesne Symphony
Orchestra, Duquesne Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Butler County Symphony Orchestra,
Wheeling Symphony and Pittsburgh Ballet and Opera Orchestras. In 2019 Jesse was a finalist for
the section violin position for the Pittsburgh Opera and Ballet orchestras. After finishing his
undergraduate degree in violin performance, Thompson is currently continuing his graduate
studies at Duquesne University pursuing an Artist Diploma.
