Meet the musicians

Angela Hagenbach

Lyrics and Melodies from the great American Songbook are both heart-warming and nostalgic, especially when they’re sung by Angela Hagenbach. She is one of those rare singer-songwriters who discovers more in a song than originally penned. After a recording session she did with Johnny Mandel, he said, “She sings with perfect taste and sounds like no one else.” The US Department of State twice chose her as a Cultural Jazz Ambassador, and she has performed at festivals and concert halls worldwide. She’s produced critically acclaimed recordings and released them nationally on Amazon Records. Scott Yanow listed Hagenbach as one of the 521 great jazz singers in his publication, The Great Jazz Singer’s ~The Ultimate Guide. Founder of the Black Ancestors Awareness Campaign and a Trustee of the Weston Historical Museum, wherein she currently authors Resilience in the Face of Adversity in Museum Musings, the first column devoted to Weston, Missouri’s Black Heritage.
